The two main bodies of this governance are the General Assembly (GA) and the Steering Committee (SC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The <strong>General Assembly<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/prep.prezode-initiative.org\/en\/general-assembly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GA<\/a> is responsible for reviewing and <strong>adopting the initiative&#8217;s strategy and deliverables<\/strong>, which are developed based on proposals from the SC. The Secretariat supports these bodies and coordinates and implements the daily activities of the PREZODE initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The <strong>Steering Committee<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/prep.prezode-initiative.org\/en\/steering-committee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SC<\/a> <strong>proposes a strategy with specific, time-bound deliverables to the GA, and oversees the implementation of the initiative<\/strong>. It ensures that the decisions made by the GA and the SC are carried out effectively, and that all PREZODE Committees and Working Groups operate smoothly in accordance with established procedures. It plays a crucial role in shaping PREZODE\u2019s strategic direction, submitting recommendations to the GA, and making important decisions regarding various actions. The SC is organized into three colleges representing Science, the five world Regions (Africa, Americas, Asia, Europe, and Oceania), and civil society. Additionally, these members actively participate in and represent PREZODE at various international, regional, and virtual events and chair the Pillar Working Groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Secretariat<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/prep.prezode-initiative.org\/en\/international-secretariat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Secretariat<\/a>&#8216;s role is to <strong>coordinate and implement the initiative&#8217;s day-to-day activities<\/strong>, ensure that the decisions of the GA and SC are implemented, and maintain the smooth operations and procedures of all PREZODE Committees and Working Groups. <strong>The Executive Committee<\/strong>, formed by the three founding institutes of PREZODE (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cirad.fr\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CIRAD<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inrae.fr\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> INRAE<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.ird.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IRD<\/a>), provides <strong>assistance and in-kind support<\/strong> to the Secretariat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Secretariat benefits greatly from the support of designated <strong>regional and scientific focal points<\/strong>. These focal points play a crucial role in facilitating communication, coordination, and the sharing of knowledge.
